Speech Therapy at Linwood Monroe Arts Plus
Mrs. Johnson at the Monroe Campus:

I am the Speech Language Pathologist for Monroe.  Because I work with kids from preschool to 8th grade, my focus shifts as the kids get older. With my younger students I use books, toys, and games to teach communication skills in a play setting. As my students get older I try to help them learn skills for listening, speaking, and writing which will help them in their classes and help them be successful in high school and in the community.

Each day is a little different. I have 50 students and I see some in small groups or one on one. Sometimes I do classroom groups and sometimes I go into the classroom to help individual kids. Several times a month I go into the community with Special Ed teachers and students.

You may reach me at KarenJohnson2@spps.org.
